Open EasyMPD WEB GUI

Preparation

All settings for network music player can be done with just a few clicks on the web browser in EasyMPD. This WEB based user interface is called as WEB GUI. If you open the EasyMPD WEB GUI at the first time after installing EasyMPD, the Initial Setup Wizard will automatically start. Through this initial setup wizard, you can make your network settings and can register the shared network music directory easily.

In order to let Initial Setup Wizard perform these processes properly, you should make sure that following preparation must be ready before you turn on the power of Alix,.

  • 1. DAC or DDC must be connected to Alix via USB and they are turned on.
  • 2. To register the network shared music folder, the computer or the NAS of the shared folder must be powered on and they should be connected to the router.
  • 3. If you want to use USB external USB HDD, it should be directly connected to Alix via USB.(The USB external HDD should be formatted in NTFS.)
  • 4. Network Port must be connected to the internet router with wired LAN. Alix and APU have different location of Network port that should be connected to router. Pleas see following images.

Turn on Alix if you are ready.

Open EasyMPD WEB GUI

After turning Alix on, it will take about 2 minutes to finish booting.

In the middle of boot time the three LEDs in front of Alix are blinking at the same time. When the LEDs start sporadically after the simultaneous blinking, you can open EasyMPD.
You can open EasyMPD WEB GUI with any device, if they have the internet web browser. But please make sure that the device should be connected to the same router that Alix connected to. If you use portable device like smartphone or tablet PC, make sure the device must be connected to your router via WiFi.

The default initial username and password for logging into EasyMPD is "root" and "easympd".
